Dining in Flagstaff, Arizona

One of the best things about the England House Bed and Breakfast is that you are walking distance to Flagstaff's Historic Downtown, where you will find a variety of eateries - we have award-winning, regional and ethnic cuisine - and one that's sure to strike your fancy. All of them atmospheric and downright salubrious!

Brix Restaurant & Wine Bar serves seasonal, farm focused, contemporary American cuisine, prepared with fresh ingredients sourced from local farmers and ranchers of Northern Arizona and the Four Corners region.

Josephine's Modern American Bistro

Josephine's was opened in June of 2002. Named in honor of Chef Tony's late mother, the Flagstaff Arizona restaurant’s commitment to exceptional food, wine, service and atmosphere reflect the lessons she taught him.

Tinderbox Kitchen

The Tinderbox Kitchen is a contemporary locale serving a variety of American comfort-food dishes with a twist, plus cocktails. The restaurant started a special occasion restaurant, but has slowly changed to more of a fun-loving family restaurant.

Breakfast is served on the Sun Porch, a charming wooden porch with small-pane windows to the ceiling, showing off our beautiful skies. Breakfast may also be served on the outside deck, weather permitting. A great place to soak up the glorious sunshine. On chilly mornings you'll be warmed by the Hearthstone stove, the perfect complement to a "snow globe" day. The morning greets you with the aroma of freshly ground and brewed organic coffee, followed by a home-cooked, gourmet-healthy, mostly organic elegantly lite breakfast.  (Coffee, tea and hot chocolate are available anytime as are other, cold refreshments.) The morning meal includes fresh juice and local fruits (when in season). We believe food is best when it is fresh, local and simple. Irish or old-fashioned oats are available on request, and special dietary needs will be accommodated as best as we can.
It is our intent that your first meal of the day is your best. You will always find something fresh-baked - maybe cookies or fudge brownies, pumpkin muffins - and a bowl of fresh fruit to help yourself to any time of the day or night. And a late-night foray to the kitchen for milk and cookies is especially fun! (The luxurious robes in your room come in handy for this!) Upon arrival, whatever your journey, your hosts welcome you with a complimentary glass of wine or ale and an introductory tour of this storied old house, to whet your appetite for whatever cultural and culinary treasures await you.
